“We don’t have a bible. It’s not a cult,” Monica Dux said of feminism at the Intelligence Squared debate. While some say we’re in a post-feminist age with the advances of the second wave taken for granted, Dux argues feminism’s health is in it’s ability to accept many different perspectives on the issues. She points out the advances of women for generations but also that “declaring yourself a feminist is an act of hope… and saying that feminism has failed is a way of surrendering that hope”.
