About the event

Will you feel the adrenaline rush of a last-second game-winning shot? Or experience the heartbreak of a devastating clash? Grab your teammates and head to the Wheeler Centre to witness arts and athleticism going head-to-head for a sporty storytelling session hosted by Telling Tales’ ubiquitous umpire Jes Layton. 

Join us at Sports Shorts, as literary champions Nicole Hayes (One True Thing), Saraid Taylor (Flinch) and Jared Thomas (My Spare Heart) regale us with inspiring stories of triumph and perseverance, while a trio of up-and-coming teenage talents will share their tales of grit and determination, created with the guidance of experienced mentors. Game on!
