Peter Singer at Montalto

How can we make the world a better place? One of Australia’s most renowned philosophers offers some answers over a special vegan menu designed by the award-winning Montalto kitchen.

Peter Singer is one of Australia’s preeminent ethicists and thinkers. On this special occasion at Montalto, he will be in conversation about his lifetime of work, including his latest book The Buddhist and the Ethicist: Conversations on Effective Altruism, Engaged Buddhism, and How to Build a Better World, co-written with Buddhist monastic and social activist Shih Chao-Hwei. In conversation with host of ABC Radio's Big Ideas Natasha Mitchell, Singer will discuss the big questions of altruism, morality and ethics in the modern world. In alignment with Singer’s decades of work furthering animal rights and considering the ethics of what we eat, Montalto will offer an entirely vegan seasonal menu for the occasion. Peter Singer will be signing books after the event.

Presented in partnership with Montalto.
