With a CV including Spicks and Specks, the Eurovision Song Contest, Triple J, ABC Radio, Playschool and the animated global hit Bluey, Myf Warhurst has been a staple of Australian radio and TV for over twenty years. Now, for Spring Fling, Warhurst takes to the stage with her Bang On co-host Zan Rowe for a captivating conversation about music, memory and her new memoir, Time of My Life.  Join Myf Warhurst as she shares funny, fabulous and sometimes fraught tales of her journey from a music lover growing up in regional Victoria, to a much-loved presence on airwaves across the country. This event will be photographed and recorded for use by the Wheeler Centre. The Melbourne City Reads series is generously supported by George and Rosa Morstyn.

Myf Warhurst

Myf Warhurst grew up in regional Victoria and studied music and fine arts at Melbourne University. After writing arts and music stories for The Age and street magazine Inpress, she became Managing Editor of Inpress in 1999. After her first radio gig as showbiz reporter on Merrick and Rosso's Triple J Drive Show, she moved to the Triple J Saturday night request show in 2000 and landed the afternoon shift in 2003. In 2008 she joined Peter Helliar on the Pete and Myf Triple M Melbourne Breakfast Show. Since then Myf has hosted the ABC Radio daily afternoon show, been a columnist for The Guardian and The Age and reports regularly for The Project on Network Ten. Best known for her seven-year stint as a team captain on ABC TV's Spicks and Specks, Myf currently presents the Bang On podcast with Zan Rowe, discussing the biggest issues in art, music and pop culture. She also lends her voice to popular ABC Kids show Bluey, and recently presented on Play School: Story Time. She entered the South African jungle for the sixth series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Australia, where she was one of the most popular contestants. Since 2017, Myf has hosted the Eurovision Song Contest alongside Joel Creasey. And Spick & Specks lives on!

Zan Rowe

Zan Rowe is the ABC's National Music Correspondent, Double J Mornings host, and creator and host of the Take 5 podcast and TV show. She co-hosts the pop culture podcast Bang On with Myf Warhurst, and rings in the New Year annually on ABC TV alongside Charlie Pickering. Zan has hosted major live television events such as ABC 90 Celebrate and Tropfest, and has presented ABC iview series The Critics, and been part of ABC TV's The Sound and Screen Time. When not talking on telly and radio, Zan is immersed in books, film and music, and regularly hosts in conversation events for Melbourne International Film Festival, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Festival, Sydney Writers Festival, and APRA.
