Young Mob Yarns offers a safe space to have a yarn on a range of topics, share knowledge, and form meaningful connections. In light of the recent announcement of the Yoo-rrook Justice Commission, named after the Wemba Wemba/Wamba Wamba word for ‘truth’, this event will explore what truth and justice look like to young people. Speakers will discuss the process leading up to this announcement, and what it means to members of the Victorian Aboriginal community.

The Koorie Youth Council (KYC) is the representative body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people in Victoria. Guided by an Executive of 15 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and our state-wide members, KYC values the diversity and strength of young people as decision-makers.

Featuring Chris Saunders (Gunditjmara), Bonnie Dukakis (Gunditjmara) and Jordan Edwards (Gunditjmara, Arrernte and Waddawurrung), with host Douglas Briggs (Yorta Yorta/Wurundjeri).

Presented in partnership with YIRRAMBOI and Koorie Youth Council
