Beci Orpin is a beloved Australian designer and illustrator. Her book for kids, Take Heart,Take Action, is filled with bold and beautiful illustrations and simple messages for children on how to make the world a better place: 'be kind', 'don't lose heart', ‘compost’, ‘protect nature’. It’s a book to spark discussions about the planet and our place in it.
Join us for this online school-holiday workshop with The Little Bookroom’s Leesa Lambert and Beci herself. After a reading of the book from Leesa, Beci will tell kids about her artistic process – how the book was made and why she decided to make it. She’ll then get kids inspired to design their own illustrations and posters that promote making a positive impact on the world.
