Get directionsGreg Heffley is lazy, hapless, scheming, funny and sometimes paranoid. He’s also the world’s most famous wimp.
The star of Jeff Kinney’s phenomenally popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series isn’t always loveable – he’s a classic anti-hero – but maybe that’s why kids worldwide have been hooked on Greg’s middle-school misadventures right from the start. Kinney published the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid book in 2007, and it became an instant bestseller. Today, there are more than 194 million copies of the series in print worldwide, with three movie spin-offs.
The latest book, the twelfth in the series, is The Getaway, which sees the Heffley family make an ill-fated attempt at a tropical family holiday. At the Plenary in May, Kinney will share his thoughts on comics and creativity before taking questions and signing books for fans.
Suitable for funny kids of all ages. Children under three free on the knee. Each child attending (with a ticket) will receive a Jeff Kinney souvenir. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while participating in Wheeler Kids events.
The Little Bookroom will be our bookseller at this event.
