In our new Wheeler Centre series, You Don’t Know Me, we uncover the off-centre obsessions, surprising passions and all-consuming hobbies of high profile figures who are well known for something else entirely.
Feminist commentator and advertising copywriter Jane Caro (a regular Gruen panellist and Sunday Life columnist) is the first to take centre stage. She’ll share her passion for Queen Elizabeth I (the royal last immortalised in popular culture by Cate Blanchett). Of course, if you’re a teen reader, you won’t be surprised at all: Jane has written two young adult novels based on the life of the young Elizabeth.
