J.M. Coetzee is one of the world’s most prized literary treasures – and we’re lucky enough to have him living right here in Australia.
The first author to win the Booker Prize twice, he won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2003. Many consider Coetzee to be the greatest novelist working in English today. He’s also one of the most inventive, habitually playing with form and genre.
His new novel, The Childhood of Jesus, is a beautiful and surprising fable about a small boy who arrives by boat in a new country.
This is a rare chance to hear this master novelist in person, as he reads from his new book in his only Australian appearance.
