We can’t wait to get back on the road again – bringing some of our favourite writers to regional Victoria. We’ll be packing up the car with books and authors, travelling from country to coast … and making sure Melbourne doesn’t get all the literary fun.
Catriona Rowntree is Australia’s most travelled woman – but her most treasured source of wisdom lies close to home. In the sweetly inspirational A Grandmother’s Wisdom, she shares her Nan’s homespun wisdom, based on the experiences of a lifetime.
Catriona will be in conversation with broadcaster Fiona Parker.
Featuring
Fiona Parker
Before becoming Mornings presenter, Fiona Parker hosted Breakfast for five years at 594 ABC Western Victoria.
She specialised in arts and entertainment journalism in both commercial and community radio, as well as working as a producer at 774 ABC Melbourne and at ABC Goulburn Murray in Wodonga.
Fiona grew up in Melbourne after moving there from Lae, Papua New Guinea, when she was in primary school. At one point, she was positive she would become an actor, but her love of live radio and the unpredictability of an acting career changed her course and she completed a BA in Journalism at RMIT University, majoring in politics.
Catriona Rowntree

When not in an aeroplane, Catriona lives with her husband and two children on their farm in rural Victoria.
