In ‘What Men Really Think About…’, we slide behind the stereotypes to take an honest look at the issues men face in contemporary Australia. Hosted by Kim Farrant, this edition features guests Russell Robertson, Ian Jones and Nicholas Brien.

Nicholas Brien
Nicholas Brien is an Australian actor based in Melbourne. He has spent the majority of his spare time travelling and working around the world.
For three years, he worked as an environmental engineer in Sydney and returned to the Australian arts industry in 2009. Since then he has been training at 16th Street Actors Studio in Caulfield where he graduated as a member of the 2011/12 Full Time Company earlier this year.
Kim Farrant
Kim Farrant writes and directs drama, documentaries and commercials for film and TV.
Kim’s work has screened and sold all over the world. Her credits include the TV drama series Rush, as well as the documentaries Naked on the Inside, The Secret Side of Me and Out of the Saddle. She is renowned for unearthing and exploring the core of people, something she loves dearly.
Russell Robertson
Russell Robertson was drafted to the Melbourne Football Club from Tasmania’s under 18s after recruiters saw him featured in a home video on The Footy Show’s ‘Almost Football Legends’. Since then, he’s enjoyed a successful AFL and television career, performed music with Olivia Newton-John at the MCG and presented radio for Geelong station KRock.
Robertson has released an album - Higher - through Universal Music. He is currently producing a show for Melbourne Football Club’s website and conducts talks with the AFL and AFLPA about respect for women and depression awareness.
Ian Jones
Ian Jones is a Project Manager in the RMIT Social Enterprise Group, working with and mentoring students to develop social and environmental enterprises as part of the RMIT SEEDS accelerator program. He is a founding member of the Melbourne Development Circle and Executive Director of the Agile Development Group.
The Agile Development Group develops and delivers rural programs in Cambodia, ranging from systems based organic community gardens to ‘village entrepreneur’ based solar light and appropriate technology distribution. He also mainstreams human rights conversation through delivering Artists for Human Rights and Action’s Visualising Human Rights Art Competition.
