Joel Magarey is a former journalist who works as a writer with his first book published this year.
Exposure: a Journey is his memoir of love and travel with a sharp psychological edge.Joel’s short fiction and poetry have beenpublished by a variety of literary magazines, including Meanjin, Overland, Quadrant and Southerly. He is a former journalist with degrees in the humanities, has travelled through some of the world’s remotest landscapes. He currently works as a Victorian parliamentary reporter.
Vivienne Kelly
Vivienne Kelly has spent most of her working life as a university administrator, and is currently a freelance researcher based in Melbourne.
Her fiction has appeared in Best Australian Stories, and in 2008 she won The Australian Women’s Weekly/Penguin short story competition. Cooee is her first novel.
Steven O'Connor
Originally from Luton, England, he now lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife, two teenage children and Sparks, his ever-attentive, ever-hungry Cavalier King Charles spaniel.
He rides on Melbourne’s trams everyday. He spends his time writing, reading, playing music, going on family outings and … gaming. He is a social worker and works for the Victorian government helping to create health education programs, especially ones about sex and drugs.
