Pier 2/3 (Sydney)

Pier 2/3 is a heritage listed finger wharf in the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct. Steeped in Sydney’s industrial history, Pier 2/3 is the home to the Australian Chamber OrchestraAustralian Theatre for Young People and Bell Shakespeare.

Getting here

Pier 2/3 is a 15-20 minute walk from Circular Quay and Wynyard transport hubs. Pedestrian and cycle paths service Walsh Bay Arts Precinct from Barangaroo to Circular Quay.

Travel by bus:

The 324 / 325 Watsons Bay to Walsh Bay bus (stopping at Wynyard, Town Hall, Kings Cross, Edgecliff stations) runs approx. every 20 minutes off-peak.

Travel by train:

The closest train station is Circular Quay, approximately 1km (via George Street and Lower Fort Street steps) or 1.3km (via Argyle Street Trinity Ave and Potinger Street) walk.

Bond One Car Park (Entry via 26 Hickson Road)

$11 flat rate after 5pm weekdays (exiting before midnight), $16 flat rate on Saturdays and $12 flat rate on Sundays. Casual rates apply before 5pm weekdays (please note pre-booked parking is unavailable at this site).

Barangaroo Point Car Park (entry via Hickson Road)

$12 flat rate after 5pm weekdays and Sundays (exiting before midnight). $20 flat rate on Saturdays and $10 flat rate on Sundays. Option to book ahead for a discounted rate.

Barangaroo Reserve Car Park (entry via 5 Towns Place)

$10 flat rate after 5pm weekdays and weekends (exiting before midnight). Casual rates apply before 5pm weekdays and weekends.

Accessibility
 
ACO is situated at the Northern end of Pier 2/3. Entrance is via the ground floor foyer on either the Western or Eastern side of the Pier, which we share with our neighbours Bell Shakespeare and Australian Theatre for Young People. Once inside, you take the stairs or lift to Level 1, where you will be greeted by ACO reception.

Pier 2/3 has 3 main public performance and workshop spaces, all of which are wheelchair accessible. For more information on these specific spaces, please click here.

To access the Nielson, Door 2 is located to the left of the Box Office counter (as you face the box office), and Door 1 to the right. Door 3 is on the second level of our building, which is accessible via stairs or lift.
