Australian bloggers have a chance to get some accolades for their work. The Sydney Writers Festival has launched a new prize to honour the country’s best blogs and their creators.

It prompts an age-old question. Do ruthless dictators like Moammar Gaddafi (not to mention cut-rate celebrities) believe what they say? Possibly, according to this piece on how people lie to themselves.

Finally, here’s some priceless footage of our home town, the way it used to be, thanks to Screen Australia and Arcade Parade.
