Housed in the south wing of the State Library, what is now the Wheeler Centre was once Barry Hall, in memory of Sir Redmond Barry, the first chairman of the library’s board.

Parking is available at QV and Melbourne Central, both nearby.

There are two disabled parking spaces on Little Lonsdale Street (near the corner of Swanston Street), and three disabled parking spaces on Latrobe Street between Swanston and Russell Streets, each with two hour limits during weekday business hours.
