Saturday Day Pass

When
Saturday, 11 Oct 2014, 09:30am - 06:00pm

New News is a three-day programme of events on the future of journalism. It will explore how to make the most of the opportunities – and deal with the challenges – of new media. It’s about journalism as an act of engaged citizenship.
You won’t find a typical industry talkfest or academic conference. New News invites you to join an ongoing series of engaged conversations, designed to provide our community with occasions to talk about journalism – why it matters, and how to do it better.
Book your free Saturday Day Pass to reserve your place at all of the following sessions. Note that all workshop sessions are ticketed individually, and must be booked separately.
9.30-10.30am: LEAK! Why do people leak, and why should you?
11-12pm: Misogyny Much? The gendered newsroom
12.30-1.30pm: Prophecies and Mediums
2-3pm: The Glossies: What’s happening to magazines in the digital age?
3.30-4.30: Future Careers in Journalism
5-6pm: Justice, Journalism and the Law
Day Passes for Friday’s sessions are also available.
