Magic Hands Kids (ages 7–10)

When

Event Status

Join visual artist and Auslan educator Luke King for the very first Magic Hands workshop designed just for kids!

Luke King dreamt up Magic Hands with Geoff Riding six years ago, while they were artists in residence at Schoolhouse Studios in Collingwood, Melbourne. The pair started teaching Auslan classes at the studios and Magic Hands was born. In these workshops, exclusive to Wheeler Kids, King opens Magic Hands up to all young people interested in learning Auslan.

At Magic Hands Kids, King will teach kids some useful signs and provide them with a fun, accessible introduction to Deaf culture.

The two workshops are designed for children aged 4–7 years old (10.30am–11.15am) and 7–10 years old (11.30am–12.15pm). Both events will include an Auslan interpreter for the first 15 minutes.
