Gretel has been scared, brazen, humiliated and praised. She’s loved and lost, been confused, brave and cowardly, laughed, cried, mourned and dreaded and she’d do it all again and more – ‘because experiencing every possible emotion is exactly what life’s all about’. Gretel believes that the tendency for our society to encourage conformity, discourage uniqueness and shelter us from fear and pain is a delusion that should be challenged because in trying to protect ourselves from life we ironically don’t live at all.
