Favel Parrett burst onto the Australian literary scene in a flood of well-deserved praise (and comparisons to Tim Winton) with her darkly beautiful debut, Past the Shallows, shortlisted for the Miles Franklin. Her much-anticipated second novel is When the Night Comes – an evocative story about the power that fear and kindness have to change lives.
Favel Parrett was a recipient of an Australian Society of Authors Mentorship in 2009 and has had a number of short stories published in journals including Island, Griffith Review and Best Australian Stories. Her first novel Past the Shallows was published by Hachette Australia.
Louise Swinn is a writer, editor, publisher and reviewer. Her work appears regularly in the Age, the Australian and the Sydney Morning Herald.
Louise was one of the founders of Sleepers Publishing, the Small Press Network, and the Stella Prize.
