Clunes Booktown Festival: Anne Summers

Anne Summers is a veritable godmother of the Australian feminist movement, author of the game-changing call to arms, Damned Whores and God’s Police. Lately, she’s been a vocal critic of the gendered attacks on Julia Gillard. In The Misogyny Factor, she explains why we’ve failed to achieve equality for women and what we need to do to make it happen.

Anne will be in conversation with Michael Williams.

On the Road

We can’t wait to get back on the road again – bringing some of our favourite writers to regional Victoria. We’ll be packing up the car with books and authors, travelling from country to coast … and making sure Melbourne doesn’t get all the literary fun. Look out for our bootful of books – coming to a town near you.
