Encounters with Music: Bill Henson

When

Event Status

Acclaimed Australian photographic artist Bill Henson joins Fenella Kernebone to explore how music has impacted his life and influenced his art as part of the Encounters with Music series, presented by the ACO and the Wheeler Centre.

About

Bill Henson’s distinctive work has been exhibited around the world for over four decades and is held in every public collection in Australia. His intimate photographs often create a sense of ambiguity by reflecting a space between the mystical and the real.

Enjoy a rare discussion with one of Australia’s most enduring artists as Henson unpicks his lifelong relationship with music for this instalment of Encounters with Music at ACO’s brand new venue Pier 2/3.

This event is presented in partnership with the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Explore the other conversations in the Encounters with Music series featuring Larissa Behrendt, Helen Garner and Leigh Sales.
